Title: Hair thinning?
Post by: sewandsew on February 17, 2010, 10:11:43 AM
I am losing a couple hairs a day.  With my thin hair, this is not going to be pretty.  Is this normal?

Hi sewandsew  :)

Sorry about you hair. It doesn't happen to everyone but it does happen to some. Thinning hair can be a symptom of an underactive thyroid. Thinning hair can also be a side effect of Plaquenil. It's worth mentioning to your doc to see what they think.

My hairdresser suggested I take a zinc supplement to help with hair. (Mine was thinning because of thyroid) I found it helped - or maybe it was just getting the right thyroid meds - it's hard to tell!

Take care - Scottie  :)

I do not think that it could hurt to try this link http://www.chakraforce.com/Tonations.html#6.

Hi Sewandsew,

Yep, that's one of the things that went wrong at first with me too, the hair on my head, the eyebrows, and body hair, wow, I couldn't believe how much hair I lost!  I knew then that I had a thyroid problem, but I just couldn't get the GP to figure it out for the longest time.  ::)

Anyway, have you seen your doctor about it yet?  Has your thyroid been checked by chance?

Take care of yourself -
