Title: Pinched Nerve - new
Post by: watoozie on November 24, 2009, 08:33:19 PM
I still haven't been to bed (3 wks).  Saw my doctor today and he injected my shoulder blade area with lidocane, and also a cortisone shot in the hip, 60mg of Prednisone today, 50mg tomorrow and so on.  I think I feel a bit better tonight, but I am afraid to go to bed, because I haven't been able to lay down and I don't want to stir that nerve up any more than it is.  Guess I will sit on the couch again tonight and hope I feel better tomorrow.  Doctor is going to call me in the morning and if I am not better he will send me to see a neurosurgeon.  Keep fingers crossed!

I used to sleep in a recliner because of a pinched nerve that caused pain that came and went. I find I can't sleep in the chair anymore, my body needs to stretch out to relax. I know what living with something you have to pamper by not moving the wrong way, or even having air blowing on that nerve to set it off.

Fingers crossed in hopes that you don't need surgery!

Also crossing my fingers in hopes that you can crawl back into a nice comfortable bed soon to sleep!  :)
