Title: Autumn Beauty!
Post by: harrigan on October 31, 2009, 11:34:24 AM
I've had 2 lovely days out this week and was just amazed at all the glorious colours around me.  I think I have been so caught up in feeling low/unwell/stressed I'd forgotten how to unwind and enjoy.

I went to Howarth (Bronte country) on Weds and my friend and I managed a 2 hour circular walk to the Bronte bridge and waterfall.  It was so peaceful and the smells and sounds were so soothing - like a relaxation tape!

Today we have been nearer home, walking around Chorlton Water Park.  My friend's dog is a Springer Spaniel and he spent the time launching himself into  the lakes and river!

I'm weary now though - trying to look on the bright side that I can still do some of the things I enjoy, instead of moaning that I can't go as far or as fast.

How's Autumn looking where you are?  It is my favourite season :) XX Ailsa

The Bronte waterfalls are beautiful, aren't they? If you come over this way again, let me know, and we could meet up. I'm only about 6 miles from Haworth.

Really Kathy?!  What a wonderful place in the world to live!  Where abouts do you live then?  My favourite place ever is to stay in the Old Registry in Haworth in the beautiful themed rooms.  I also love Hebden Bridge and walking in Hardcastle Crags, though I'm not as swift of foot these days!  It would be lovely to meet up XX Ailsa

Hi Ailsa

I'm in the west of Bradford. I just love the moors, and the ones between Bradford and Hebden Bridge are beautiful. Although we have a hole inour city centre, the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. My workmate lives in Hebden too.

Ailsa and Kathy,

I imagine Wuthering Heights type landscape.  Very rugged and colorful.

It's past prime here in North Minnesota, USA, with all the red and gold leaves gone replaced by a gray sky and snowy landscape.

The lake is still liquid and the loons are still here, although keeping quiet these days.  Usually the last bit of water freezes around Christmas or New Years.  I wonder if it will be early this year.

Hope you both are well today!

Hi Ailsa,

My favorites are winter and spring.  I love the starkness of winter and the blooming/smells of spring.

Your are absolutely right. It's very much Wuthering Heights, and it's gorgeous in the summer, but grim in the winter.

We had a beautiful fall. Now all the leaves are on the ground, although in my area , we have been enjoying 70s weather with sunny Sky's.

I enjoy all 4 seasons, in my area summer and winter are neither harsh. I enjoy the transformation of one to another its a journey of change.

blessings and happy seasons,    :)   kimbo
