Swollen Sublingular Gland
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:56:17 AM »

I have been having almost constant swelling in the bottom floor of my mouth.  I did some research, and this area is called the sublingular crest, plit, and several other things.  I told the internal med doctor about it at my last visit, and he did not even look at it.  Last week I asked my family practice provider about it and he had no idea, told me to ask internal medicine.

My lip biopsy showed only "minor chronic inflammation", and I was not diagnosed with ss.  I am wondering if anyone else has this, and if it is something to get seen for.  I do have, and have had thrush for at least 5 months now and am on nastatin.  Perhaps this could be a result of that, but I doubt it. Even when I take saligen and get enough salivia flowing, it feels like it is lacking the mucus portion of it.

Anybody else experience this?

Thanks, and Happy Father's Day to you dads out there.
