Like a Bad Penny I always Show up....
« on: June 21, 2008, 08:59:36 AM »
Hello; I am still out there floating in the 'web'...Things are about the same.  Pain, Despair, and agony on me....LOL I am no longer busy out in the garden, it is all dried up.  Although I water it doesn't seem to do much except make my water bill go up!

I still have the lesions, now a torn rotary cuff, right shoulder, guess what? Russ has one about that for sharing.  We have been out fish-in once this year.  I also have lost so much bone mass that they say my bones are transparent hehehehe Camo bones.  All my blood work was positive in May so they quite giving me a hard time over my meds.  I went to V.A. pain management and that was a JOKE.  They offer epidurals and nothing else...then they said the back and cervical was so bad they were not 'comfortable' doing them???  So still just relying on my Lyrica, Cymbalta, and codien for comfort.

I took a tumble this a.m. carrying towels out to the wash...I had the where to all, to fall on the clothes basket, I have a badly bruised knee and a ankle and wrist that are hurting, but I bounce pretty good for a ol' lady.

Well, I will go back to reading and lurking...just thought all of you might like to know what has been going on.

Huggles from Texas on a HOT day.

Welcome back JT...bad penny nothing, you are one of our pennies from heaven!

Sorry to hear you took a tumble, I hope the added "owies" resolve quickly, but remember that joint injuries are nothing to ignore, and if your knee, ankle and/or wrist persist in being hard to get along with, please have them looked at.

Hi there Jangy:

I was wondering how you and Russ were doing. Figured it was hot down there. Seattle has been mild and wet so far this year and so the flowers are doing real well right now. In a month or so they will be crispy critters, though.

I'm like you, I have a hard time reading all the posts much less responding but I do try to check in and see how folks are doing. My bones are fragile like yours. Be real careful about those falls.

Take care and check in from time to time.

Hi Jangy,

Girl, I'm so glad to hear from you!  I'm sorry to hear that things are not so good, I was sure hoping that you'd be out partying the nights away down in TX and making the rest of look bad ;)

Dual torn rotorcuffs?  What in the world, nope, don't tell me! :D  I sure do hope that you and Russ feel better soon, I'll keep the old fingers crossed for y'all!

Is there any way that the VA will pay for specialists outside the system?  Are they doing anything for your lack of bone mass?  It seems like they would be very concerned about (that alone if nothing else).

I'm glad that you bounce well (I always fall like a rock, but I have a lot of "fluff" so it's not as bad! ;)), and it's sure good to hear that you didn't break anything.  I have a question for you, is there a major military medical center near you like Walter Reed?

Hang in there and please don't be a stranger! ;D

Take care -

Hi Jangy  :)

It's good to see you. I noticed you haven't been around so its good to hear you're alive and kicking. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. heck - if they can't cure things you'd at least think they'd work on pain relief - wouldn't you?

Take care - Scottie  :)   (our home page)   (find our chat times here!)  (way to chat + nickname and #Sjogrensworld)

Torn rotator cuffs, both of you??  Casting that fishing rod too much.   :D  Seriously, I'm so sorry about things.  Fragile bones I understand.  Still hurting me badly to sit.  I hope that fall didn't break anything.

Glad to hear from you.  Take care of yourself.  Tell Russ hello from another Texan.

Hi Jangy, Nice to hear from you again. I saw on the news that it was so darn hot in the SW. Seems early to be that hot and sounds like gardening doesn't work when it get like this.

Sorry to hear you are having the bone issues and that rotator cuffs are giving you problems. That is a nuisance and painful problem. I hear that recovery following surgery is 6 months.

That is a shame about your pain info. Doesn't sound very encouraging. Have you gone to another pain clinic etc. Hope things improve. Please don't fall anymore! Irish ;D

Hi Jangy-Most of us have it easy going comparatively right now.  Sorry for all your problems.  Grin and maybe things will look "better" after a bit.  Lucy
