Oh no! Thank you so much for letting us know. She was a real jewel among our treasured site.  Certain people touch your life, and she was certainly one of them.  Peace and blessings to her family.

Lucy was so happy to even to find those Oxi-glasses, for when she was out and about...her strength helped and will continue to help many. Oh dear, this is so sad.

Please convey my sympathy to her family.

I was saddened to see this post today -  :'(  I know Lucy has been having a difficult time with her breathing and walking and even recently canceled her cruise and vacation she had planned because she just wasn't feeling up to it.

I will miss her posts and her humor and friendship.

On this forum, even though most of us have never met in person, we form a special friendship/bond with each other as we deal with the day-to-day challenges of living with Sjgoren's.  We genuinely feel sad when a friend we've never met is sick, suffering, or passes away.

I'll never forget the story Lucy told of some ugly green couch (or was it a chair?) she got from a relative.  I think she actually did end up liking it.   ;)

Lucy often talked about her husband, only daughter, and her grandpup.  My sympathy to the family.

I also know among our membership, some of us are closer than others - a sisterhood or brotherhood connection.  Gursie and Irish, I know Lucy was a special friend to you both - my sympathies to you both as you grieve the loss of your (our) dear friend, Lucy.

If anyone ever plays the lottery, or goes to the casino - play something for Lucy - she loved her casino!   :)

Rest in Peace, our dear Lucy . . . I will miss your friendship here on the forum.

This is such terrible news! Lucy was one of the first people I "met" in the Sjogren's online community. And it wasn't even the Sjogren's World, it was on the Dry Eye Zone forum, when I was struggling and didn't even know I had Sjogren's. She was such a big supporter. We'll miss her. I just can't believe it.

What a shock to hear of Lucy's passing.  She was such a great friend to me going through chemo, always a cheerleader in my corner!

My sympathy to her husband and daughter.

It really is a terrible shock, I didnt think it was that far advanced, and that they had started treatments I thought she was going to be ok.

I too am in shock and am heartbroken at this news.  Lucy just celebrated her 50th wedding Anniversary and this was not something that she was expecting..

I do not know any details..but I will tell you this..Lucy was a fighter..she had overcome many obstacles and battles..She would want us to continue to cheer each other on and fight a stronger fight..spread the awareness that Sjogren's can attack organs.

Lucy may have not won this battle, but she never lost!

My biggest regret is leaving here....I feel that I let her down, and maybe I have let you all down...My apologies.

I am going to try and return as often as I can.  I really do love all you guys and wish you all well..You gotta do this for Lucy and Kamie...Stay Strong..square your shoulders up and stick those chests out..now raise that chin..and be thankful for knowing such wonderful souls...and just because they have crossed into a better place , it does not mean any of us are going there anytime soon...  I am sticking around for a long time!

We can do this.....Positive Attitude, Strong Wills and Faith!       <3   ~sass~
