The options aren't really good... I could cross two of them because I was 45 (and a half!).

@Eija,

Then I think age group 45-50 would be appropriate?

I'm sorry - the options of polls are limited. I would have preferred to let people type in their own age of diagnosis, but the system doesn't allow this in polls...

Eija and Longhairwolfe,

Your not reading it right. BETWEEN means in between the numbers.  Like between 30 and 35 means "starting from 30 till 35"...... (but I've changed it now, as many don't seem to understand)...

Please feel free to add a poll of your own...

Your poll specifies when "diagnosed" with Sjogrens.
I think most of us here will agree that we had Sjogrens looooog before we were diagnosed. Drs just can't or will not diagnose it. I had Hashimotos in 1978, blood #s started getting off in 1998 and diagnosed in 2003.

I agree with you Pices. I started off with thyroid disease when I was in my mid thirties. I had a multinoduler goiter that contained several nodules on the left lobe. They thought that I had cancer so they surgically removed that lobe. I then developed nodules on the right lobe and my thyroid is still enlarged (it gives me the feeling that I am choking alot of the time). Several other symptoms developed in the years to follow: dry eyes, dry mouth, severe sinus disease with dry membranes etc. Approx 15+ years later I was finally diagnosed with Sjogrens through a lip biopsy 2 weeks ago.
Primary Sjogrens, fibromyalgia,partial thyroidectomy/hypothyroid, asthma, chronic sinusitis/nasal polyps, environmental allergies. Plaquenil, Evoxac,Restasis,Neutrasal, levothyroxine, Zyrtec, Singulair, Proair inhaler, spironolactone

I was diagnosed last week, age 56.  But I had suffered symptoms for over a decade.  I was never referred!

We should have a second poll to see how they compare - At what age do you think you first experienced any symptom of Sjogren's?  For me, I would have to say around the age of 16 with my dry eyes and trying to deal with contacts and being accused of being a druggie because I've always had red eyes.
Plaquenil (generic), vitamin D, Amitriptyline, Citalopram
