Any guesses on why the google logo is bones and surgical instruments today?

They are acknowledging Medical Radiological Technologist week; those are actually meant to be x-ray images of bones and items found on films. If you run your cursor over the image, it says something about the 115th anniversary of the discovery of x-rays.

At first I thought it was celebrating "Day of the Dead", but then remembered that's, always November 5.  Thanks for enlightening us, Linda!

Yep Linda is correct, today was the day that Roentgen discovered x-rays. Hits home since my thesis will revolve around x-ray computed tomography, yay!
