finally a got a Sjogrens diagnosis
« on: March 30, 2011, 05:14:44 PM »
Hi All,
I have'nt been on for ages, but today saw another specialist and was given the Sjogrens diagnosis within minutes of being in his office.
My new Dr was very vague on the letter of referral, and i had to tell him why i was there and he looked at my blood work from 2 years ago and my more recent (jan) and said "you have Sjogrens, what meds are you on". When i replied none, he asked why the Rheumie i saw in 09 was'nt seeing me anymore and why she did'nt give a diagnosis or meds, i said "she handed me back to my old Dr and did'nt want to see me again". he also looked at previous blood work done since 05 and said i have had it since then.

You can imagine that i'm pretty angry, to go 7 years without treatment and that i should have had a diagnosis years ago.

I am now going to be on Plaquinil, Celebrex, Pantoprazole and Cymbalta.

Black sox i understand your frustration all too well. My symptoms started 15 to possibly 18 years ago. I saw 12 different doctors/specialists in addition to my my own doctor and i struggle with being angry about all those years of getting progressively worse and then being greatful to finally know. Now i know and now you know. And i am happy younhavevyour diagnosis. :-) finally.
