1. Dry Eyes. Sometimes I wear "onion goggles"---cooks use them when chopping onions. Mine are pink, so at least they're kind of cute, but I look like Snoopy and The Red Baron when I wear them out in public.

2. Dry mouth, sore gums

3. Flu-like feeling most of the time

4. I stumble and lose balance easily, so people think I'm drunk when I'm out in public.

5. Hot weather paralyzes me.

6. I get spaced-out easily, forget where I'm going or what I was doing, etc.

7. I cry easily, even when I don't intend to and even when I'm not really feeling sad.

Welcome to the family. Yes, all these symptoms are pretty wearing, aren't they? If you start your own topic and introduce yourself, you will get lots of welcomes and good advice.

It amazes me how many of us have the same symptoms, especially the neuropathies and flu like symptoms but these are considered as rare symptoms?!?!

Irish, I know what you mean, that's just what I knew to be the case!

You reminded me of ME, especially when I get sleepy, cuz sleepy and brain fog ought not go together! I will say almost anything!

That's something I would say with such conviction like I just solved the world's greatest mystry!

Naw, naw we really do suppose to have four ears! Check yours! You ain't got four!!!? Well then I just don't know, let's just hope they grow out soon! ::) ;D

Good laugh for the day! ;D

Thanks!

As usual, I'm only now paying attention, and I see that this topic was entitled "my top 5 least favorite SJ symptoms"----and, uh, I posted SEVEN. When will I learn to follow directions?

After reading so many posts on many topics since joining this website/discussion board, am extremely lucky that SjS crashed in all at once just after New Years's - at the age of 73.  The fact that I'm this old before it struck is why I consider myself lucky. I take off my hat to the younger among you who struggle with this day in and day out - take care.
Least favorite SJ symptoms SO FAR are:
1.  Global, burning small fiber neuropathy with fabric intolerance.
2.  Ditto
3.  Ditto
4.  Autonomic nervous system problems (no perspiring).
5.  Hound of the Baskervilles eyes.

Best wishes all.

OK, since I am a newbie, maybe some of my "top 5" are not actually SJ, but lupus or whatever else.  Since I have not found a Rheumatologist yet, I am just guessing here

1.  Fatigue, especially out of nowhere when it comes over me
2.  Insomnia and problems sleeping more than a few hours at a time
3.  Dry eyes - so much for that contact lens prescription and my 4 boxes of disposable lenses I can't wear now
4.  My hair is falling out!  I have not seen that issue here in the forum yet.  And I am not on any meds yet, so it's not that.
5.  Feeling cold, all the time.

I don't think I have brain fog yet, but my ADD is going gangbusters berserk lately...

1 Body pain. There all day every day.
2. Sore Skin
3. Neuropathy
4. Brain fog
5 Lack of stamina

6. Doctors

I guess having a cronic disease is better than the alternative. Being dead.
Keep cruising down life's highway. We may hit  pot holes, just don't let the wheels fall off  ;D
