Title: air conditioner/humidifiers for summer moisture and cooling

I have several good humidifiers in my home but summer is coming and after last year I know I need a means of COOLING also.  Any suggestions on cooling units?  Any article or link?

Do you use a swamp cooler?  I've heard that it helps.  My Mom also uses a humidifier constantly and it helps her with moisture.
