Plaqeniel Question
« on: April 28, 2009, 08:02:02 AM »
I have seen where several people say their skin is sensative. Some say that Lyrica took care of the problem. I tried Lyrica and it didn't work. My skin bothers when friction is applied to it, like you cross your legs and your pants rub against the skin. That makes my skin burn.  When I get stressed or don't get enough rest, my skin will bother me. A few weeks ago, the top of my feet turned bright red and burned after I had a bad night of no sleep. The dermatologist says my skin is inflamed and that the reason I have the problem I described. Does anyone else have this and would Plaqeniel help this problem? I have read it can.

Hi Wynter  :)

I know exactly what you mean about the skin. The sensitivity was something that bothered me a lot for several years but now its only intermittent. I don't know why it went. I seem to have transient symptoms that come and go. I guess I'm lucky they don't all build on each other.
Plaquenil may help but, the honest answer is, I don't know. It helped me with fatigue and brain fog rather than pain but it has helped others with pain. We're all so individual and seem to react to drugs differently.

Sunlight certainly doesn't help sensitive skin, but I'm sure you know that. I hope you find a way of relieving the symptom.

Take care - Scottie  :)

hi wynter

i have this problem also.  Basically before i was diagnosed i used to have itchy burning skin particularly on my feet, it was unbearable and used to look very red.  I also used to have dry flaky skin on the soles of my feet and it used to itch so much.  It was flakey in apperance and very excema like.  After about 4 months of using plaq most of it cleared up  and although i get the occasional bit i have been given 1% cortisone cream and it stops the itching.  I still have some itchy redness too but its nowhere near as bad

hope you get some answers soon
