Well, it's a nice cool day. I am safely in my home. I have a big wooly dog who just laid down by my feet.

Sounds good Susan. It's been a nice sunny afternoon and early evening here. I'm now sat in my dressing grown and fur boots with our Yorkie sat on my lap.

It was not a good day.
Just too much to do which I really did not want be doing at all.
Well, things that are time sensitive.

Out I go.
Dash here. Dash there. Not making progress. Feeling close to tears.

Then on highway almost missed 'v' in road where I need to stay right and suddenly car died in left lane. Was able to get over to left shoulder.

Made call .. Gosh I had run out of GAS.. huh.. like once in my life decades ago.

Police car pulled behind me and very nice officer pushed my car .. physically.. a bit more off shoulder .. even though it had started to rain.
I felt so bad for him and told him so.
(I even offered him a new bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Oreos I had just bought.. yeah. He nicely declined.)
I thanked him for his help and he said "That is what we are here for".

Not so great day..
Blessed to meet such a nice person.

My own Knight in the Honda showed up with gas.. Kisses.

Now I have to find out how to contact the officers supervisor and write a thank you in the local paper.

Kathy tonight my Yorkie is sitting on my stool next to my feet.

Grammad97 oh that sounds like a good dinner.

Quietdynamics your story ended well. That was a nice officer.

I'm one of those weird optimistic pessimists. Sounds odd I know, but it's how I descibe it. Being Bipolar with a family history of suicide, I have to hunt the good of humor daily. Just the fact we woke up today is something. That we can feel aches and pains so we can appreciate the days it's not so bad. Its Fall, the air is crisp, the leaves are changing, time for warm snuggly clothes a hot cup of tea, coffee or cocoa a blanket, a good book or movie. My extended family can't get along and holidays tend to suck anymore, but I still love the feel of this time of year. I don't like the cold or what season changes do to my body, but fall is beautiful. Most of the coffee filter wreaths I'm making are a fall theme just because it's so much color.

Critter Mama, you post sounds almost poetic. Thank you. I love the fall too, although we call it autumn in the UK. Our leaves are beginning to turn, and there's a few on the ground, but I suspect we willkeep them until we get some high winds, and that will be the end of them.

At the moment we are having verypretty weather. We had a poor summer but recently the temperature has been around 60 degrees in the afternoons, even though the mornings have been very misty. I'm hoping it stays like this a while, as I really don't like the cold, and would love to be able to hibernate until spring.

Each day I can see the leaves change just a bit more. The temperatures are so much nicer.

Well. I came on board to complain, but thought I should stop at this thread first.

The swelling and pain in my ankle is not a stress fracture, as I'd feared, but just tendinitis.

The rash on my face is not a lupus rash, but something else for which my rheumy gave me steroid cream and eyelid scrub.

The hair loss is probably from the MTX, but I've been referred to a specialist, and  told to double my biotin dosage and add collagen to my supplements.

The worst thing of all, I have no way to spin into something good. My favorite cat has gone missing. He sleeps outside on the patio or in the garage. He has not been seen for 48 hours. We live in the suburbs, so there are no feral beasts that would get him. He is fast and cautious, very unlikely to be lured by a stranger with food. Rufus is not lying in the neighborhood roads, nor is he at the animal shelter.
I am afraid someone has trapped him, which makes me worried that someone is doing harm to that gentle soul. There is a neighbor I do not trust. I am trying hard to not think that, but this is the longest he's ever been gone. He disappears for a few hours now and then, but never like this.

I guess the only positive thing I can say is if he doesn't come home, we were lucky to have him as long as we did.

Sorry to hear that Rufus is missing.  I can understand your worrying for his welfare.   I do hope he shows up tonight with a sly grin on his little face.

I thought I might add my good thing while I am here.  My son and his wife are expecting their first baby some time in February.  A little boy!   ;D  My son is one proud Papa-to-be!

No sign of Rufus.

Posters going up today, in case someone has him inside, trying to make him their new pet.

RUFUS COME HOME.

Brought in a Gardenia plant for the winter that my Son gave me for Mothers Day.
And we have a flower!
It just makes me smile every morning.. and the lovely scent.

I went outside last night and saw a crescent moon.. so bright and low.
" So would you like to swing on a star.. carry moon beams homes in a jar.."
I just wished for a moment I could touch it.. instead it touched me.

Had quite a long conversation with my 5 year old American grandson today. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing him via Facetime.  :)

My week has not been a good one at all, but I do have one good thing to share.

Our computer crashed on Saturday (no, that's not the good thing) and was too old to fix, so I quickly did some research and we bought a new one Saturday evening.  It only took me a few hours to set it up because honestly they have made them idiot-proof these days even for me.  So now we have a brand new, fast computer with Windows 10.

Oh, and it was the brand new iPhone we bought on Friday that crashed the computer.

Too much new technology in this house for a poor old Sjoggie like me.  I am trying not to feel overwhelmed.
