Starting MtX

Saw my rheumatologist today. Long appointment short I'm starting methotrexate this weekend. Wish me luck!
Raynauds, sero-negative RA, Primary SjS, osteopenia, degenerative disc disease, disc protrusions,stenosis, Carpal tunnel,  poly neuropathy, myoclonus, hiatal hernia, esophagitis, viral infection, Leukopenia. Restasis, Vitamin D, B12, Evoxac, Lanzoprezole, calcium acetaminophen.

Plaquinal 200mg x2, Methotrexate 15mg per week, Coperin 60mg, Karvea for High BP, Folic Acid 5mg 3 times a week and lots of over the counter goodies

SjoGirl, I sure hope it works wonderfully for you and that you have no side effects like many others on here.
I have been encouraged by people here who have responded to my questions about it.
I am on about week 10. No side effects, but not a lot of improvement in pain or fatigue but maybe it is a bit early.
I do notice I feel less tired the day or two after I take it.

Medications: Plaquenil 400 mg/day, Restasis, Synthroid, Cytomel, Celexa, Deplin (L-methylfolate) (for MTHFR genetic defect)

Thanks all the information, advice and support has been both very accurate and very welcome.

Lucy my rheumy said at least six weeks before med would kick in and she's starting me on a very small dose because I'm med sensitive (who of us with SjS is not!). Anyway, I suspect it may take a while, maybe a few months, before I know if it will help.

Severely dry mouth & throat with difficulty swallowing, fibro, allodynia of the scalp.
Medications: Atenolol, Dexilant, Zoloft, Zocor, Flaxseed oil, Vit D, Nasonex, Plaquenil

SjoGirl, I saw on another threat about MTX that it is giving you a little trouble with the fatigue and stomach issues. I hope that improves.

Good luck! It works well for me! Getting the right dose is key!
