Saturday Fun @ the Celtic Festival
« on: October 01, 2013, 11:04:40 AM »

Every year in September is the  3 day, Free Celtic Classic, in Bethlehem, Pa.
The festival has 5 stages with continuous music, entrainment.

I used to live closer and went everyday.
This year we were hoping to go Saturday and Sunday.
Well, Saturday wore me out..but, it was great. Wonderful robin blue clear skies. The site was once a Moravian plantation, along the Leheigh River and the Canal ...the waters were rushing over some stones and the willows were dancing along the banks.

Some of the artist that played at the festivals. There are some with links if you would like to sample the bands. http://www.celticfest.org/entertainment/

...a burly brute..lol

It was a great time and we are hoping to make it back for the Christmasfest.

Photos are off the net.

It is a wonderful town/city. One of the main reasons I hesitate to move away from the area, so much going on there. After the festivals..the police slowly walk on horseback down mainstreet to close the festivities.

Dance class doing an exhibition...cute.

There is a university and 2 colleges..so it is a young, artistic area.
One of the best trauma centers is there also, it services a wide area with the medi-vac, etc. Daughter was born in Bethlehem, supervised with "Crisis Neonatal" So a lot going for the area.
