Growing OLDER is unavoidable....growing UP is elective!

Having said that, I told my stylist a few months ago that I was actually pleased to be showing some grey hair, since it keeps people from asking what colouring I use, then looking disbelieving when I say none!

I am 52, and I have about a dozen gray hairs in there somewhere. My color has faded from a rich chestnut to just plain brown, but I haven't colored it yet.  My mother is aghast; she was 50% gray before she was 40. I see her about once a year, and she always asks if I am coloring my hair. NO, mom, I'm not.

Wow meow, I'm sooo jealous! ;) ;D  I had my first gray at eight (that was a tough year ::)), and was pretty much fully gray by my mid to late 20's.

My grandmothers were both redheads, and they just kind of faded to lighter and lighter red, then silver in their 70s. I guess that's what I inherited. Didn't get the nice red hair, though.

Just lucky. My mom says once you start coloring your hair, you can't ever stop.

On avoiding the question of whether you color your hair

My mother had this wonderful streak of silver hair, by the time she was forty. Then the streak never widened, and her dark brown hair stayed dark brown till she was well into her seventies.

That inspired me, a few years ago, to start using Just for Men: A Touch of Gray on my hair, covering most of the changing ash blonde/brown (dirty blonde) hair to light brown, but leaving the streak of the whitest hairs, something like my mother's streak.

For What It's Worth (FWIW)

You could reverse the gray by using the 528 hz tone. I have seen it work. It does look a little odd to see gray tips and natural roots as the process proceeds. Personally, with out my gray people do not believe my age.

A friend that is 10 years younger is often mistaken as 15 years older because of his gray. We get a chuckle at peoples reactions when they find out the truth.

My Apache friend has almost no gray hair, and he is 63. He has deep wrinkles around his eyes and mouth, but his skin shows  none of that crepey thinning that makes those of us from the Celtic tribe look old. He eats and drinks whatever he wants and is in great shape. It's disgusting.

...so when people tell me I'm having a blonde moment, I'm not insulted. I pay good money to be blonde!   8)
