Hi Louise,

Yes, had (notice said had) them on both sides on back of neck just at hairline and it was 'suggested' it was from Fibro. Have subsided in past few years.

You might want to Goggle: Fibromyalgia and look at the points of pain and see if this is where yours hurts.

Please don't throw rocks at me for suggesting another 'gift' as if any of us need something else... ;)   Joy

Hi

Sounds like a swollen gland. Have you any lesions or anything on your scalp? If it persists, I'd get it checked out.

As far as I know goitres are at the front - not the back.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Either that or my anatomy is off! I only know because I developed a goiter when my thyroid went wrong. Thankfully it subsided once I was on the right meds.  :)

Thanks everyone for your help. I don't have any sores on scalp. It is not like a sore feels it feels like a sore gland I just was not sure if that is a gland location. I sure hope it is not fibromyalgia I have enough things going on with the sjogrens.
primary sjogrens, adderall xr, diclofenac ,vitamin d3, percocet, b12,b6, omega3, ibuprofen, protonix, voltaren gel, lots of sugarless gum and candy.

Louise,
I have been having this problem to, it's part of the problem when I described the pin wrapping around th lower part of my head and neck. Mine is mostly on my right side starts at the base of my skull going the full length of my neck. It sometimes be on both sides, but mostly the right, VERRY PAINFUL I even get fevers with this some times. It hurt to touch or even turn my head and finding a comfortable position to lay my head can be a challenge.

Navydad - all my life I've been bothered with little scabby bits on my head from time to time - and now pretty constantly. In my case it's not dermatitis or psoriasis - I don't know what it is but i've kind of got used to them. I know if one ever gets a bit out of hand it tends to make the glands at the back of my neck swell but thankfully that doesn't happen very often.

Take care - Scottie  :)
