Yes, it does and I rarely use it because of that.  Lucy

Lori,

In the beginning, I sweat so much that it was only out of desperation that I continued to use the medicine.  My pajamas would be soaking wet.  But, I was so miserable and did not want to go to pureed foods or lose my teeth so I perservered.  I have been on it for two and a half years and, especially, the last 6-8 months, the sweating has diminished greatly.  It will gradually diminish I believe.  I traded mouth sores, burning, cracked tongue, inability to swallow foods, yeast in my mouth and fear of losing my teeth for sweating.  It just depends on how bad your dryness is.

Good luck.

I know pilocarpine (salagen) is a different drug, but it also makes you sweat. I haven't been on it for long, but I've found taking half a tablet, as needed, helps reduce the amount of sweating. I felt quite dizzy/dehydrated when I tried whole tablets too, halving them helped with this too. Don't know if this is possible with Evoxac.

In the beginning the sweating was terrible for me - and drooling! There were pools of drool on my pillow  Tongue  With time, these effects diminished for me. I  decided to give Salagen, which is much cheaper, a try, but it does nothing for me. I will go back to Evoxac.

Sometimes I break out in a clammy sweat after taking Evoxac, and sometimes I don't.  It seems to happen more often if I take my doses too close together, but sometimes it seems to happen for no reason at all.  I take it three times a day, but the same thing happened when I took it once a day and when I took it twice a day--sometimes I'd sweat, sometimes I wouldn't.

I don't experience any sweating.  I honestly can't say that the Evoxac has helped me that much.  The artificial tears help my eyes more than anything

Yes, I experience the sweating, too.  I  hate it and feel like everyone must look at me like I am weird as I sit there soaking wet.  My husband assures me that I don't look sweaty, that I just feel it.  (I think he is trying to be nice.)

I have learned the best way to control it is by taking Evoxac on a full stomach and only twice a day.  So I take one with breakfast and one with dinner.  If I take one with lunch I am drenched all over within an hour.  Can't stand it, so gave up that lunch one.   And one night I was going out to dinner with old friends and didn't want to take my pills in front of them at the restaurant, so I took the pills on an empty stomach before I left.  Stupid mistake.  I was sweating so badly at the restaurant that I ended up being more embarrassed than if I just took my pills in front of them after dinner.  Learned my lesson.

Funny how drugs effect people differently, I don't have any increase in perspiration.  I wonder if this is a gender thing.

Be careful not to become dehydrated if you are sweating a lot, I've been feeling terrible as a result of this. Make sure to drink lots.

I do sometimes sweat a lot from Evoxac. I have been on it for a year. it is worse sometimes than others. I notice if I get stressed i will just be drenched in no time. I tried to increase it to 4 times a day because I still have dry eye and dry mouth ( I have been in a terrible flare), but it was just awful - I couldn't take it. I have heard that Salagen doesn't cause the sweating, but I haven't taken it.
